Innovations in Water Management: Stormwater & Recycled Water Systems

Wednesday, January 21st
12:00pm CDT

The term ‘water management’ at sports venues is most commonly associated with usage in kitchens, bathrooms, cleaning operations, field irrigation and landscaping. There are many effective tools and policies to limit water consumption in these areas, including aerators, motion sensors, timers and even cloud-based moisture detection software—helping teams and venues reduce their water consumption by up to 10 - 50 percent. However, ‘water management’ is increasingly expanding, to include the mitigation of potentially harmful impacts of stormwater, as well as sourcing recycled water for certain purposes, a recent innovation with major potential that is now being deployed at a handful of venues around the country.

On this webinar, we will hear an overview of the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Manual, a resource for sports venues recently developed by the Pacific Northwest Pollution Prevention Resource Center (PPRC). We will then hear a pair of case studies about venues that are using recycled water to offset a substantial portion of their overall water needs. We hope you can join us to learn more!
